Make the room more cohesive by reducing the amount of furniture in the room and having pieces that are of similar scale.
Note:
Not much was needed to change the feeling in this room. There were too many pieces which gives it a cluttered feeling.
After
By reducing the number of furniture pieces, putting in a larger table between the two chairs and a larger carpet to anchor the grouping it provided a cozier feeling to this room.
The Rec Room

Note:
By getting rid of all the clutter around the pool table it allows room to play pool.
After
The room feels larger.
The Entryway
Before
Task:
To create function upon entering the house and a more welcoming feel.
Note:
This area needed increased function and a little updating.
After
The owner changed the light fixture and the flooring to a natural slate tile from the outdated pink tile. By repainting the mirror and adding a few more functional pieces, it created a better flow and sense of purpose to the space.
The Guest Bedroom
Before
Task:
Define the space by making it a guest bedroom.
Note:
The room was being used for many activities. It had too much furniture and was cluttered.
After
By repainting and creating a focal point by wallpapering one wall and putting in a proper bed, it made this room an inviting place for company.
The Yard
Before
Task:
To tidy up the flowerbed, store away tools and repair window and pagoda.
Note:
The shrubbery needed cleaning up, wheelbarrow and other items leaning against the garage needed to be stored away, window needed recaulking and painting and pagoda needed repairing and painting along with the trellis. Leaves raked and flowerbed edging and flowerbox stained.
After
The yard shows a well maintained appearance.
The Front Driveway

To create curb appeal.
Note:
To tidy up overgrown plantings.
After
A low maintenance and attractive make-over gives this front drive a welcoming feeling and that all important "curb appeal".
The Child's Room
Before
Task:
Declutter and organize.
Note:
The desk was too cluttered.
After
After decluttering, eliminating and organizing, the room is orderly. Some items are stored in boxes out of view.
